day 20... defying superstition

 Day 20.......Defying superstition
So.. today my task was to.." defy superstition"  in short whatever superstition dicatates to do in a situation ,do the opposite. Now i dont class myself as a particularly superstitious person, and well... im not there are just certain things i cant bring myself to do.. however im relatively happy that these small few are down to my mild o.c.d behaviour not superstition..haha ,

It's trickier than you would think to find things in everyday life in which superstition has a stand point when youre looking for them, I mean i was prety certain i dont want to start bashing mirrors in peoples homes (seemed a bit out of order) plus i dont really want to risk 7 years worth of bad luck reguardless of how likely i think that outcome is ., however once i had a think about it, i started seing oppertunities to defy superstition everywhere... theres so many things that carry a penalty involving bad luck or iminent danger if you subscribe to that way of thinking

Anyway heres what i did...

*  walked under a ladder

*  whistled in the house ( bad luck apparently)

*  left my keys on the table

*  left my hat on the bed

*  opened an umbrella indoors

*  stepped on so many cracks (pavement)

* atempted to cross paths with a black cat

So.. i defied superstition, I'm only glad i didnt see any magpies, im not sure i could have not pointed a salute in tis general direction .

Anyway.. later today on a walk back from the all night garage, i was almost mauled by a large black alsation (german sheperd), the beast lunged at me several times trying to bite me , (almost succeeding) until its hapless owner after like 10 seconds..(though it felt more like half an hour) finally got hold and gained control of it.

like this only black!!

Now this may have been just a chance meeting between a man and a large angry dog off the leish, but bareing in mind my days activities i had to wonder if i had tempted fate...
