day 32.. obedience day

day 32 and today was "obedience day" Now historically obedience is a concept i struggle with, sure i do ok on religiously based rules and ethics, however for example i know i would struggle in the army, you see i have to have a reason, and a good one, that makes sense if im required to do something.. and the face to face, close up spitty shouty insistance of a drill sergeant simply wouldnt register .

However today benrik had lovingly prepared a page of instructions , that were to be followed to the letter, and they wernt just any orders  they were completely unreasonable requests, but as i have oathed to complete each task within this book.. i decided i would do my best to be 100% obedient in spite of the fact i had been given no reason whatsoever for my cooperation.

So at benriks insistence today i spoke EXTRA  LOUD  to people who names start with the letter R!!
Luckily i dindt really come across many today, apart from the lady at the counter  who served me with my old jamaica ginger beer and parmesan grater (which i had bought as a gift for a friend enroute to their housewarming party) She was wearing a namebadge .. her name was Rachel, and i dare say she was a little suprised  at the volume at which i let her know " ITS COLD OUT THERE LIKE!"  and "NAR I'M ALRIGHT THANKS" To her polite enquiry as to whether i required help with my packing..(it was 2 items for goodness sake, if i need help with that im in serious bother.)

not  her actual badge!

Later in a shop in my brothers neck of the woods i didnt accept my change from the bottles of lemonade i purchased ( again for the afore mentioned party) as i had been instructed not to accept any change that amounted to under 30p, the lady behind the counter looked somewhat bemused as i looked at the coins she put on the counter, then turned and exited with my newly purchased beverages.

NO LESS THAN THIS!!!

As instructed i ordered the 5th most expensive item on the menu, though the classiest place i ate was a sanwich shop in town so this didnt break the bank, however it did mean i was faced with a tuna sandwich for lunch, and while i dont detest it as much as other fish it certainly wasnt the filling i had in mind upon entering the establishment.

Strict obedience  also  meant that i only used the buttons on the top half of my remote control, this was quite inconvenient as the buttons to change both the channel and the volume are on the bottom half of my t.v remote, this resulted in me watching programmes  i had no interest in a  lot louder than i would ordinarily watch anything. (until i realised it only makes reference to the remote, and i could be obedient and still use the pannel on the tv itself ) ..On the upside ive never been  so aquainted with all the random... "dont know what theyre for" buttons on a tv remote before.

I sppoke to a minimum of 9 people in an hour, i was lucky to be at a house warming with in excess of nine present.. i made sure i spoke at least a few words to everyone, orders are orders after all.

I also chewed every mouthfull of finger food at least a dozen times, which probably made me look odd, but the party had a fiine spread, and that finger food was well worth a dozen chomps per item.

Benrik was ademant that i feign not to see people wearing red, i tried my absoloute best at this, however it became harder at the party as it was "christmas themed" so nearly everyone in the house was wearing red, I I'm not sure how i did on this as i wasnt prepared to be rude to friends plus carrying this through in exactness would just have  resulted in me looking  autistic or like id been on the eggnog , as a sidenote i  myself hate it when people listen without looking.... innit

Are you sing my problem? red everywhere!

And i was sure to walk slower when the person next to me was taller!!

Thankfully i dont recall anyone with my name being mentioned in a conversation, as it would have meant me leaving the room immidiately in the name of obedience, and that actually would have been rude... like proper!!

I feel i adhered fully to benriks obedience code for the day..

pat on the back for me!!
