Day 26.... misleading a tourist

Day 26.." Today mislead a tourist",  I was worried when i bought the book as to how i would acheive this, as the town i live in (Middlesbrough) Is  a town based on industry , it is poor, rife with crime and has no real discernable landmarks of interest to non teessiders, and so.. as you might imagine doesnt really atract tourism of any nature. So i knew that this task would have to be done elsewhere, where i myself would in reality be a tourist.

Anyway, as i said in the previous task i spent all weekend in leeds, and while i could never say i know leeds like the back of my hand , ive spent a lot of time there over the years, and so can get about fairly well, the lads and i spent the day down town, scraning, watching football , playing pool and other general horseplay, and im afraid i will have to admit  come  8.30 ish i had not yet figured out how i was going to accomplish the task.. i mean you cant really mislead a tourist unless they ask you something.

Leeds for reasons i have never understood has a german market every year, with stalls that sell everything from german food to wooden hand made and bone crackingly over priced christmas tree decorations ( and a large german beer tent). And at aproximately quater to nine we were entering a small supermarket in the city centre to get munchies for the long night ahead... we got said supplies.. and on the way out..while the rest of the group were a step ot two ahead , n atractive asian girl aproached me and said "excuse me there, can you tell me where the german market it please?" "of course" i said.. and promptly directed her to exactly the opposite end of the city centre , and off she went in the direction i sugested.

Now i know this seems mean, but it had to be done for task to be completed, and in my defence.. i didnt know exactly where the german market was from where we were anyway. But it did leave me with an odd feeling (along with slight pangs of guilt ) and the feeling was that without wanting to sound like earl, something fairly abnormal bareing in mind the task i was neglecting had just fallen into my lap.. was there something out there that wanted me to do the tasks  as i had pledged?  NO.. probably not..funny tho eh?

I dont have a photo of the misleading taking place obviously  but about 5 mins beforehand.. we did see this in the city centre which appears to be a nice mix of vomit and human feces... nice!!
